What is Allied Health Sciences ? 

Allied Health Science is a new established concept in health care and constitutes a separate stream of health professionals contributing to the health-care. Allied health professionals are an integral part of the medical team along with physicians and nurses contributing their expertise to the preventive, curative and rehabilitative care of the patients. Allied Health practitioners/ professionals significantly influence healthcare delivery by supp-orting, facilitating and complementing the roles of physicians and other health care specialists. The term 'Allied Health' is used to identify a cluster of health professions and covers as many as 100 occupational titles, exclusive of physicians, nurses and a handful of others.
