Florence Nightingale was one of the pioneers in establishing the idea of nursing schools from her base at St Thomas' Hospital, London in 1860 when she opened the 'Nightingale Training School for Nurses'. Her intention was to train nurses to a qualified and specialized level, with the key aim of learning to develop observation skills and sensitivity to patient needs, then allow them to work in hospital posts. Her influence flourished so widely that today nursing is one of the major courses offered at many a colleges and Universities of the world.

IPH&H-School of Nursing was established with an aim to cater team of trained and skilled workforce to healthcare system of the country. Backed by a legacy of 46 years and rich experience in imparting healthcare education, the institute has entered with a humble beginning in the field of nursing education and confident of stretching its wings in this arena in times to come.

IPH&H-SCHOOL OF NURSING-School of Nursing strives to impart quality education in the field of Nursing and in this endeavour the School has employed some of the eminent and renowned industry experts as their faculty members. These members have rich clinical and academic experience and have also served designated posts in various Govt. Departments as nursing experts

Keeping in view the pivotal necessity of clinical experience to nursing students, the School of Nursing has entered into vast industrial tie-ups with reputed govt. & private hospitals, PHCs under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and Community health Centers.

For hands on practice during the course, the School of Nursing has set up state of the art Nursing foundation labs, AV Aids labs and a library well equipped with latest books, magazines,journals and periodicals related to nursing practices.
